We are 1.5 years into marriage (yay!) and still tuning our budget (doh!). Good luck! I +1′d you.
Thanks Amanda! There will always be some tweaking, but that’s a good thing!
Looking forward to reading this, even though I’ve been married 29 years. I recently had a young married couple ask me, “Should we pay off our school debt first (which was massive) and then buy a house, or buy a cheap house while we are paying off the debt so we are at least building some equity.” I wasn’t sure what to tell them.
Thanks Warren! If they’re trying to build their net worth, adding a house to the mix will bring them even more in the red. I recommended a few books in the guide that should give them some great insights as to how they can handle that kind of debt.
Take care!
Tim
